vo buto.n ne Daale hai.n vasvase ki dilo.n se Khauf-e-Khudaa gayaa 

vo pa.Dii hai.n roz qayaamate.n ki Khayaal-e-roz-e-jazaa gayaa 

[vasvase=doubts; Khauf-e-Khudaa=fear of God] 

[Khayaal-e-roz-e-jazaa=(any) thought about the day of judgement] 

jo nafas thaa Khaar-e-gul banaa jo uThaa to haath qalam huye 

vo nishaat-e-aah-sahar ga_ii vo viqaar-e-dast-e-duaa gayaa 

[nafas=breath; Khaar=thorn; qalam honaa=chopped off] 

[nishaat-e-aah-sahar=pleasure in the morning plea] 

[viqaar-e-dast-e-duaa=respect for the hands raised in prayer] 

na vo rang fasl-e-bahaar kaa na ravish vo abr-e-bahaar kii 

jis adaa se yaar the aashnaa vo mizaaj-e-baad-e-sabaa gayaa

One day a girl asked a boy how long will you be with me. 
The boy shed a tear, dropped it into the ocean and replied, until you find this tear. 
At this, the ocean started crying and said, You Pakistani boys, where do you come up with such beautiful ideas.
